Mr. Spock
He is a nine-year-old Arabian purebred who needs a calm hand due to his spooky disposition. I have not had the time or the facilities to properly train him to keep me safe. The story is that he comes from a purebred farm. During a training accident when he was young, he received an entry in his right back ankle. This entry turned out to be more cosmetic, and they could not use him as a show horse, so they had him gelded. He sat for about 5 years with no formal training. He is good on a lead rope and has not been ridden. His biggest issue is picking up his back feet, which I have worked on to the point where I can lift them up. However, he's very difficult to shoe or trim. I have placed weight and saddles on his back, and for the most part he does alright, but due to my location, I don't have a safe area to try to ride him.
He's not a mean horse, but he gets afraid quickly and doesn't respond to force. Definitely does work better with a calm hand.
