Hidalgo

SOLD Hidalgo — 9-Year-Old Bay Arabian Gelding An Arabian with a cowboy résumé and plenty of style! Hidalgo has lived an interesting life, including being used in Mexican rodeos, and brings an impressive amount of training with him. He has lovely gaits, a nice neck rein, spins, side passes, and plenty of buttons for a rider who appreciates a well-trained horse. Cattle don’t worry him, and he is happy to spend the day out on the trails. His experience and way of going make him an exciting prospect for several directions. We can picture him developing into a fancy English horse, an endurance partner, or a western show horse with a little extra presence. As you’ll see in his video, picking up the right lead currently takes some effort. He can get it and is improving with each ride, but it is something that still needs polishing. I’ve been a fan of Arabians since I was a kid, and Hidalgo ranks right up there among the ones I’ve ridden for how broke he is. There is a lot to appreciate about this unique gelding, whether you want to build on his training or simply enjoy a talented horse out on the trail.
