For the past year she has been used as more of a game-type horse, but her background is as a highly trained western pleasure horse—and it doesn't take long to see it. This mare can jog and lope around in a frame like a machine, with beautiful transitions and a naturally correct headset. She could use a little refresher work in a few areas, particularly cleaning up her spins and stops, but the training is there and she knows her job.
I could easily see her going back to the pleasure pen, or changing gears and making a very attractive ranch horse. She is also perfectly happy to leave the arena behind and head down the trail. She hauls great, stands tied, and handles noise, commotion, and chaos without getting bothered.
One of the nicest things about this mare is how usable she is. Kids, adults, or really anyone who wants to climb aboard can enjoy her. She is gentle, sensible, and has enough training to make her fun for someone who appreciates a horse with some buttons.
Full disclosure: she does crib. It is controlled with a cribbing collar, but it is something her new owner needs to be aware of.
