Check out this group of solid mouth cows! I am so thankful for the decision we've made to change the way we're processing our cattle. We're being stricter than ever on our mouths, and I believe it's putting more value out there for our customers. When we call a cow solid mouth here at Rutherford's, we're talking about a cow with good, long, hard teeth all the way across. These cows will average 7–9 years old, and some were actually bought as 6-year-olds that we felt were better suited for our solid-mouth group. We're not just looking to see if they've got all their teeth. We're looking at the condition of those teeth and whether these cows have plenty of life left in them. Every cow is physically checked by a veterinarian, who verifies the mouths and palpations. Each cow you purchase comes with veterinarian certification documenting her age/mouth and palpation results. We're bringing in an outside veterinarian to check these cattle and put his certification behind the information we're giving you. We want you to know exactly what you're getting before you ever load a trailer. $3,350 each Solid-mouth cows Average age 7–9 years Good, long, hard teeth Veterinarian certified on mouths and palpations Individual vet certification with each cow
