In the arena, Ruger is well balanced at all three gaits with a naturally low headset. He has an excellent neck rein, rides nicely off your cues, and has a big stop. He is the kind you can watch go around and immediately start thinking of all the different directions you could take him. Ranch riding, versatility, cow work, or simply being a very fancy all-around horse would all seem to fit him well.
Outside the arena, Ruger has been just as enjoyable. We have taken him down the trail, through water and mud, around traffic, and over different obstacles without any fuss. Point him where you want to go and he is willing to tackle what is in front of him.
At 7 years old and 15.1 hands, Ruger is at a great age and size with plenty of training already in place. He has the looks to get noticed, the handle to make him fun to ride, and the versatility to go do a job.
