Hotrodders High Brow has the look, the handle, and the mind to make her just as appealing in the show pen as she is riding down the trail. At only three years old, Heidi already has the kind of foundation that gives her a long list of possibilities.
This is one fancy little mare. Heidi rides soft and correct, will maneuver around the arena almost entirely from your legs, has an excellent neck rein, great slow gaits, and a good stop. She is responsive without being overly complicated and has a really nice feel to her. Whether your interests are ranch riding, ranch versatility, cow horse events, or simply owning a well-broke horse, there is a lot here to appreciate.
She has been lightly used on cattle and you can rope off her, giving her the beginnings of some very useful experience outside of just riding circles in an arena. She has the athletic ability and training to continue toward the show pen, but what I especially like is that none of that takes away from her being an enjoyable horse for everyday riding. Take her down the trail, ride her around the farm, haul her somewhere new, work some cattle, or spend an afternoon in the arena—Heidi is happy to have a job and gives you her best effort.
Her personality may be one of her best qualities. Heidi is the life of the party. She follows you around the pasture, enjoys being made over, stands excellent for grooming and tacking, and requires no lunging or preparation before you ride. Saddle her, step on, and go enjoy your horse.
I have bought several horses from the gentleman Heidi came from, and I seem to love each one just a little more. The foundation and real-world experience he puts on them shows, and Heidi is a great example of it.
At three years old, this mare has her whole life ahead of her. She has enough quality to develop into a very competitive ranch riding or versatility horse, enough ability to continue with cattle, and enough sense to simply be someone's really nice horse to enjoy at home or on the trails.
