Description
South of Lander, Wyoming – 165 Black Angus-influenced bred heifers at 980 lbs, AI bred for March 15 calving.
This is an outstanding offering of 165 bred heifers from NL Ranch, representing the front-end of four groups of replacement heifers purchased from four different brands. These are high-elevation cattle selected as replacement cuts, providing buyers with a strong opportunity to add productive females to their herd.
All 165 heifers were AI bred on a synchronized program and bred for a single cycle, with a 21-day AI period followed by cleanup bulls. The resulting group is expected to have a tight calving period of approximately 30 days, centered around a March 15 calving date. This condensed calving window offers buyers added uniformity and predictability heading into the spring calving season.
The heifers weigh approximately 980 lbs and have been developed on meadow grass. They have received a solid vaccination program, including Bovishield 6 and Virashield 5 at weaning, followed by PregGuard 10 prior to breeding on April 8.
These are front-end replacement females that have been selected for their quality and potential to become productive cows. Their high-elevation origin, tight breeding program, and replacement-level selection make them an attractive option for commercial cattlemen looking for a uniform set of bred heifers.
The offering will be available in three loads of approximately 55 head each. Cattle are located south of Lander, Wyoming, with shipping scheduled for October 15–25, 2026.
