Boys and girls, these are the kind that make you proud to own.
The first group is 27 stout, fancy F1 Brangus heifers weighing around 1,150 pounds. There are already a few calves on the ground, and several more look like they’ll calve any day.
The second group is 33 Super Black Baldy heifers, and they’re absolute rock stars. Big-bodied, feminine, and the kind everyone likes to own. One calf is already on the ground, with several more close behind.
It was trying to rain while I was filming, so the video doesn’t do these girls justice. Trust me—they’re even better in person.
The rancher also has another pasture with about 100 fancy heifers. They’re mostly Brangus, with a few Brangfords and a few Black Baldies mixed in. There are already seven or eight calves on the ground, and just like these groups, they have all been exposed to Angus bulls since December 15.
If that’s not enough, the rancher also has 57 gorgeous F1 Braford heifers at another property. They still need to be palpated, but they are an extremely fancy set of females.
Altogether, this rancher has three to four outstanding groups of heifers, all developed the same way and all exposed to Angus bulls on December 15. Whether you’re looking for a few replacements or enough females to build a herd, this program has the quality to do it.
