So, whereas we had hoped Eirwen would be black (as her dam has produced black before), we are still hopeful that Eirwen can produce black (with her dark lips and nose in evidence that she carries some dark genetics). Eirwen's dam is our Song, a foundation girl in our herd. Her half-sister Danica produces babies that 'knock it out of the park' every time. Her first girl, Isolde, a dark fawn by Stradivarius, has lovely fiber but didn't make our show string as a juvenile (we run a small string) -- in favor of her MB cousin, Oraine, daughter of Danica, who later sold in the Amber Autumn Auction that year.
