Description
Luna is one of two current females sired by our favorite dark-colored Legionnaire son, Red Granites Tammerlane, who brings in BMF Taos’ Zeppelin, an AOBA National Black Fleece Champion & Herdsire of the Year Winner, Snowmass Matrix Majesty.
A divine blend of genetics. At 6YO, Tammerlane had a 22.3-micron fleece with a 4.4 SD – which he passes on to his progeny! Luna’s dam is a Snowmass MR Sizlin Rose daughter, who is a champion in her own right. Lakota, comes from a remarkable maternal line that has never failed us, which starts with Irish Meadows' My Lacy, the 2015 AOA National Fawn Female Color Champion winner. At 8-years-old My Lacy held a 22.5-micron fleece with a 3.9 SD and a MEAN CURV of 53. Incredible. She is our favorite production female who is our "outcross" as she is a direct daughter of Sistina's Accoyo Destinati. All of her offspring thus far have bannered, and they range in colors from Black, Roan, Brown, and Light Fawn. In fact, her sons have 4 AOA National Black Championship banners combined. My Lacy's offspring in total have over 25 Championship banners.
Look at her histograms -- Maintained fineness, uniformity, and frequency of the fleece is proven on both sides of her pedigree, so it is no mistake that she has it.
