They’ve been exposed for the past three weeks to registered Bieber Red Angus bulls—one of the most respected Red Angus programs in the country. Bieber genetics are known for producing productive, maternal cows that raise outstanding calves year after year. Whoever buys these girls is going to love them. I promise you. I’ve been in this business a long time, so let me give you a little advice. Buy your replacement heifers already exposed. If you wait and buy them open, it’s easy to get outside your ideal calving window. A uniform calf crop is worth money, and late calves are hard to make up. One last thing, guys. If you’re breeding replacement heifers, your heifer bulls need to be turned out now. Stay on schedule so you don’t end up with a bunch of late calves next year. Need trucking?
