Description
Beach, North Dakota – 90 Black Angus Steer Calves at 570 lbs, shipping October 20, 2026.
This is a very attractive offering of Angus steer calves coming from a program focused on quality, consistency, and performance. These calves are sorted from 98 head and represent the top end of a calf crop built around proven Angus genetics. With a reputation for raising cattle that combine muscle, growth, and carcass value, this set should appeal to both backgrounders and feedyard operators looking for cattle that can add value all the way through harvest.
The cow herd is 100% Angus and built around medium to large framed females weighing 1,400 to 1,500 lbs. Breeding decisions are centered on producing uniform, high-quality calves that excel in both performance and carcass traits. Sires are sourced from Vermilion Angus and Vollmer Angus, two programs well known for producing cattle with muscle, growth, structural soundness, and the ability to hit quality grade targets.
These calves are 98% Black Angus and carry a quality rating of 9 out of 10. The operation places a strong emphasis on uniformity of kind and genetics, resulting in a set of calves that are consistent in type, body shape, and performance potential. While there is some natural variation within the offering, there are enough numbers here to put together a very marketable load.
Raised on native dryland pasture, these calves are carrying medium flesh and are in good healthy condition. They are the practical, hardy kind that can adapt to a variety of programs while still offering the genetic quality to target grid premiums. Buyers looking for cattle with carcass merit and long-term feeding value should appreciate what this set brings to the table.
Calves have received a calfhood and pre-weaning vaccination program and have not been implanted. Bull calves were knife cut in May. Cattle will be gathered early in the morning, sorted by sex, hauled approximately 25 miles to Beach, North Dakota, and weighed straight on the ground.
A high-quality set of Angus steers from a program that prioritizes performance, consistency, and producing feeder cattle that continue to improve year after year.
