I’m putting my ranch horse gelding “Spade Roy” on the market as I shift focus toward my mares. He’s a solid, honest ranch horse that’s been used for real work and knows his job.
He’s been used for:
Gathering cattle
Penning and sorting
Turnback in the cutting pen
Snubbing and halter breaking colts
Dragging calves
Cutting out drys
Sorting yearlings down the alley
Working gates
He’s gentle, easy to ride, and has a smooth trot. The kind you can put most anyone on and go get a job done.
He has cutting training, and used for turn back enjoys it, and also a nice head horse on medium steers.
He was raised and trained originally at Spade Ranches, Rinderbrook headquarters Colorado City Texas. He has been in cutting training here also.
He’s one that’s better to ride than to look at — but most people come around quick once they do.
