THE GOOD STUFF:
This offering consists of 60 Brahman heifers. There are approximately 7–8 smaller heifers and a couple of crossbred females in the group, so I believe there are about 50–52 head of the number one Brahman heifers that most buyers will focus on.
These girls are super gentle and easy to handle. They have the kind of disposition that makes ranching enjoyable and are definitely the front-pasture kind.
They have been exposed to a horned Hereford bull for the past four months. I really like the Hereford-on-Brahman cross. The calves should have plenty of growth, hybrid vigor, and market appeal, while the heifer calves can develop into productive replacement females.
One of the biggest advantages of Brahman-influenced cattle is longevity. These females are built to stay in production. With proper management, I would expect many of these heifers to remain productive for 15 years or more. When you spread your development cost over that many calves, it can make a lot of sense from a ranching standpoint.
If you’re looking for hardy females that can handle heat, insects, tough conditions, and continue raising calves for many years, these girls deserve a serious look.
The heart of this offering is approximately 50–52 head of really nice Brahman heifers, with a few smaller heifers and a couple of crossbreds that could be sorted off if desired.Specifications
