LHSA Mano Kahuna is our brillant white son of Pucara Kahuna. He is a genetic powerhouse with pedigree that includes Pucara Kahuna, PPeruvian Angel, Crown Royales White Knight. If you have considered bringing bright White to your herd, LHSA Mano Kahuna would be the best choice for any farm.
LHSA Mano Kahuna's density is 62 follicles /sq. mm, with secondaries at 16.9 and primaries at 25.3 His spread is 8.4, better than the average for males. LHSA Mano Kahuna's AFD is 17.67 and his fiber shear weight averages between 4-5 pounds annually.
LHSA Mano Kahuna exhibits all the traits one looks for in a future herdsire. Mano is a leader in his herd, yet exhibts a controlled temperment. He is has been well accepted by our females this year and we are excited to begin his breeding career.
A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.
We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
