Description
Oriel (of the sun) is bright and shiny with light fawn fleece. The background genetics are full of color including two true black and a medium brown with both Renzo & Angel in there! Both of these boys have thrown exceptional true black with tons of luster.
LHSA Oriel was not used in our breeding program, but her genetics show true black color and luster! Her MFD at age 1 was 27.3 microns. Oriel is an average of 140 pounds and easy to handle. Oriel's SHIP score is an average 4.5 for confirmation and Suri style.
A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.
We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
