LHSA Blossom's Jazmine is our lustrous & locked daughter of Peruvian Jet Stream & Chakotah's Blossom. If you have considered bringing bright white to your herd, Jazmine, or her offspring, would be an excellent start for any farm to ignite your breeding program.
Jazmine's fiber data proves what can happen when you breed for genetics. She exhibits all the traits you need to look for in a future production dam.
Jazmine's density is 55.75 follicles /sq. mm, with a S/P of 15.2. Her secondary fibers average 19.1 micron with primaries at 26.6 micron. Jazmine's AFD is 19.56 and her EPD numbers placed her in the top 5% for 2019! Her fiber shear weight averages between 4-5 pounds.
Jazmine's sire Peruvian Jet Stream, at age 11 years, sheared 7.6 lbs of fleece, and his histogram AFD was 24.5 . He is in the Top 5% of EPD's. Jet Stream's density was 63.5 follicles /sq. mm, with a S/P of 10.6.
Jazmine's dam Chakotah's Blossom had a density is 37.97 follicles /sq. mm, with a S/P ratio of 10.3. Her secondary fibers averaged 18.7 micron with primaries at 30.3 micron. Blossom's AFD was 19.73 with top 5% EPDs.
Jazmine's first cria was LHSA Vinca born June 2019. Vinca has grown into a robust female. She is tight locked and lustrous. Vinca is already projected to be in the top %5 EPD with her genetics. LHSA Vinca is daughter to Torbio's Illuminati of PVA (registry 32091533). Her pedigree mirrors her possibilities!
A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 3 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.
We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
